The material pricing method uses a moving average price. Why is the price of transaction 251 (sales shipment without a sales order) in transaction code CKM3N not the latest moving average price?
[Problem Analysis]
1. The period viewed with transaction code CKM3N is December 2024.
2. Double-click this line item to see that this is a December supplement to the November material receipt and delivery.
[Solution]
1. Therefore, this transaction should be calculated based on the latest moving average price for November.
2. Using transaction code MM03, we can see that the final inventory quantity for November is 1, the amount is 12.49, and the final moving average price is 12.49 yuan.
3. Using transaction code MB51, export all November and December shipments and receipts for material 1003118 from factory A005, sorted by input date and input time.
Based on the inventory quantity, inventory value, and last moving average price at the end of November, we can calculate that the moving average price before the issue of voucher 4900014468 was 13.1167, the quantity was 3, and the inventory value was 39.35 yuan. Therefore, for the issue of voucher 4900014468, the moving average price used was the latest November moving average price of 13.1167, and the value of two boxes was 26.23 yuan, rather than the latest December price.
6. Why are material shipments from November reflected in the December records in CKM3N? This is because, when the 12th accounting period is enabled, the November and December inventory quantities and amounts are identical.
