[Problem description]
When posting a sales outbound VL02N, the system prompts MLCCS010: Cost element not found in component structure 01. What is the reason? How can I resolve this issue?
[Problem Analysis]
1. In the OKTZ transaction code, the component structure is generally configured as Z1. When checking the factory-level material ledger component configuration, it was found that in the CKMLKEV table, some component structure records were 01 and some were Z1.
2. The initial cause is: during factory configuration, the data was copied from factory 0001, so the OKTZ component structure corresponding to that factory is 01.
3. Immediately after activating the material ledger and opening the material, the system records the component structure corresponding to each plant and material as 01.

CKMLPRKEKO: Material-level (estimate number level) component structure
4. Configure the OKTZ component structure and assign Z1 to each plant.
5. Create the material master data and publish the standard costs. The components recorded in the KEKO standard cost header table are the latest component structure Z1.
6. Then, during material delivery, the system reads component structure 01 in the CKMLPRKEKO table. When accessing the OBYC-GBB-VBR account, it cannot find the component configured for the OKTZ transaction code.
Note: When accessing the OBYC-GBB-VBR account, this is the common cost verification rule.
7. Tracing the message MLCCS010, we can see that the component structure 01 appears when reading the CKMLPRKEKO table.
8. Use transaction code SE16 to view component information in the material ledger.
As you can see, the final cost component is Z1, but the component for the previous year-end 202312 is 01. During posting, the system checks the cost component structure for three groups of months: the current month, the previous month, and the previous year-end.
The same situation occurs in the CKMLKEV data table.
9. Summary: This is due to a late configuration of OKTZ, which resulted in the MMPV being enabled and CKMSTART being activated prematurely in the material ledger.
10. Upon inspection, the earliest period for material receipts and deliveries in this system is 202412. For this period, the component structures of the following two tables are both Z1.
CKMLKEV Plant-level component structure
CKMLPRKEKO Material-level (estimate number level) component structure
However, previous periods and the December period at the end of the previous year are both 01.
[Solution]
1. If the above analysis confirms this (point 10 of the problem analysis), correct the cost structure in the data table.
